codman
Well i planted my hunt plot Sunday as its supposed to rain this week. I planted Whitetail Clover and Winter Rye. Im hoping it will do real well and be very full and last a while. I will try to post pics of the plot and update this as it progresses! rhine16
Looks good! One question though, does winter rye do well up there if planted this early?

codman
Its gets all the sun it can as long as theres no overcast it is filtered light during the early season cause the hickory and maples that cover it. Theres acorns all over the place to so its quite diverse for forage. The Winter Rye is in time and does great this far north, many farmers here use winter rye as there cover crop. Well im still waiting on rain they keep screwing up the forecast. Dan
