A lot of folks with differing opinions of what is to come. Some pretty smart people have interesting speculations on what might happen prior to the 2012 election, think it likely people will let their elected representatives know they are tired of how things are being handled in this falls elections. USA may be 2nd in GDP but that doesn't necessarily translate into endless liberty and economic success forever. I'm not a doomsdayer, but I do know we are not as stable as we like to think we are. m gardner Posted August 6, 2010 Report Share Posted August 6, 2010 The biggest problem I see is that we have nothing to recover. When some of these industries went under they failed and are not there anymore so they can't recover. It's like trying to fertilize and water a dead tree. It ain't gonna work. Add to this the burden of taxes and red tape and permits etc. to start a business or factory and there won't be any new starts soon. No money to loan for startups either. It's pretty dismal.
