Speaking of broadheads... Does anybody remember these?

I remember my dad hunting with these years ago.

That F-15 thread made me think about odd designs over the years.

.... and FWIW, I think all these were made in the 50's. Pop wasnt born till '49, I think the heads were given to him. Looks like they're worth some money nowadays.

I remember seeing pictures of them when I was looking at archery gear (and dreaming) back in the late fifties or early sixties. As a young farm kid I was probably gullible enough to try them but too poor to afford them. Maybe a good idea in theory but I'm thinking the penetration was not very good.

We had a nick-name for those. We used to call them the Browning apple corer. Before I even opened this thread, I knew exactly which heads this was going to be about. The fact is that they didn't stay on the market very long, so I don't think too many people bought into the design. I don't remember anyone who actually bought any ...... lol.

They had a good line of crap that went into their advertisements, so it does serve as an example of just what the manufacturers will TRY to put across on us.
