Anybody shoot an SR9?

I was looking at one at the gun shop Saturday. Sure feels good and I really liked the trigger feel. Anyone here got one?

My buddy (and his wife) at work has an SR9. He bought it because it was the least expensive pistol he could find for self defense. He likes it to the point that he's put twice the cost of the pistol in ammo through it. He says it shoots well but is fussy about ammo. He says it likes PMCs.

Not quite sure why he would say it's the least expensive for self-defense. Lots of other ones out there like the S&W Sigma that are way cheaper. The SR9 looks a lot more like a Glock, striker fired, and way slimmer and feels good in the hand. Most are priced in the $400-500 range from what I've seen.

The top end fighting pistols most of us at work carry are about $1000.00 and up. SIGs with night sights, Kimbers etc.. The Rugers, S&W M&P's, Springfield XDM's and Glocks are less. Of the bunch the Glocks have the best track record in that price range.
