Ravin R10 man
No not by phisically touching it..thats impossible... we are saved by the shed blood..and nobody was ever commanded to touch the blood to be saved.. we are saved by grace by beleiving that Christ died for our sins..it's actually quite simple. It is called being "Born Again" 10. In the Mosaic law, blood is payment for sin; Jesus' death paid that price in full: Lev.17:11 It is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul Heb.9:22 Without shedding of blood is no remission [of sin] Mat.26:28 My blood...shed for the remission of sins 1Jn.1:7 The blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin Jn.1:29 The Lamb of God, which taketh away sin of the world Eph.1:7 We have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (See also 1Jn.2:12) 1Pet.1:18,19 Ye were redeemed...with the precious blood of Christ 9. Sin brings about spiritual death; but Jesus died in our place, taking our punishment: Isa.59:1 Your iniquities have separated you and your God Rom.6:23 The wages of (penalty for) sin is death Rom.5:8 While we were sinners, Christ died for us 2Cor.5:21 He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for (in place of) us 1Jn.1:9 If we confess our sins, He [will] forgive and cleanse us 1Jn.2:1,2 We have an advocate...Jesus Christ. He is the propitiation for...the sins of the whole world 8. The results of being born again: A. Spiritual rebirth makes you a new creature: Jn.3:3b Except a man be born again, he cannot see Kingdom Mat.18:3 Be converted and become as little children Jn.1:13 Born, not of blood, nor of the will of man, but of God Rom.12:2a Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind 2Cor.5:17 If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature 1Pet.1:23 Born again, not of corruptible seed, but...by the Word of God Edited August 13, 2010 by Mathews XT Man
BamaTrae
I realize it's not a physical touching of literal blood. But These Scriptures teach the blood of Christ is what takes sin away. I'm trying to figure out "how" that blood does it? Just looking for help on this question. Thank you. Matt. 26:28 - "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." 1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Rev. 1:5 - "and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood" Eph. 1:7 - "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" Also consider: Hebrews 9:12 & 1 Peter 1:18-19 Edited August 13, 2010 by BamaTrae Font stuff
Ravin R10 man
It was His "shed blood" at the cross is what those verses are referring to..the punishment for sin is death..In the Old testiment an animal was sacrificed on an alter to cover the sins of man...When Jesus took our place as sinners on the cross it was then His blood that covered us,and we entered the New Testiment age...what is required now is to believed in Chrst and follow Him by faith in Him alone. Jeramie
a·tone·ment /əˈtoʊn mənt/ Show Spelled[uh-tohn-muh nt] [/url]Show IPA –noun 1. satisfaction or reparation for a wrong or injury; amends. 2. ( sometimes initial capital letter ) Theology . the doctrine concerning the reconciliation of God and humankind, esp. as accomplished through the life, suffering, and death of Christ. 3. Christian Science . the experience of humankind's unity with God exemplified by Jesus Christ. 4. Archaic . reconciliation; agreement. In the old days of the bible man had to make Atonement and remission for sin. The blood of a precious animal had to be given to God in sacrifice. Keep in mind in those days a lamb, calf, or something therein was a precious item. Therefore your remission of sin was proven by giving up such a valuable item in sacrifice. Jesus came and made atonement for all mankind and all sin, past and present. Man no longer has to make atonement for their sin. They only need believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and that God cared enough for man to send his only son for that atonement. John 3:16 - For God so love the world that he gave his one and only son that who ever so believe in him should not perish but have eternal life. That scripture is well sited for a reason.....
