Dawg
For those of you who fletch your own arrows: What type of glue do you use to adhere the vanes to your arrows? I swung by the good ol Wally World to see what they had. Yea, 2 small tubes of glue in one pack for $6. I think not. I have some Gorilla super glue, do you think it will work? okiedog
I have used about all the fletching glues out there over the years... The last few years I have only used Super Glue Gel. That is what I use on my inserts as well.
Turkeygirl
Same with okie...I use a Loctite super Glue - in a blue triangular-ish bottle....Walmart has it...Works great! Vanes do not come off like they do with the Bohning glue I had.

Straight Shooter
I have used Fletch-tite glue in the white tube with red writing on it. It works great and I've used it for years, sure it doesn't dry as fast as the others but it in my opinion is best fletching glue out there. dogdoc
I use the fletch-tite super glue. I'm not patient enough for the slow drying one.
dbHunterNY
Gorilla Glue will probably expand too much. If you can keep those fletches pressed down enough though, they won't be coming off... ever. lol
Bowtech_archer07
I use Carbon XpressBond. I have shot hundreds of arrows at a target and had a complete pass through on a deer last year and the vanes stayed great. I have yet to have a problem with it. LOL yeah like I said that is draw back but I generally fletch my arrows up at night so they are ready for the next to shoot.
LifeNRA
I have some Gorilla super glue, do you think it will work? Yes! I have been using this for about two years now. I have had no vanes come off yet! I like this glue, because it has the viscosity of AAE Speedset glue I used to buy. For more than half the price! Jeramie
I use any super glue Gel.... The gel works WAY better. I have a massive tube of fletching glue and never use it. I just keep buying the superglue gel. The loctite gel is a good glue. Ive used it quite a bit and it works well. However, the cheap gel works just as well. Its just not in nearly as handy of an bottle. The Loctite bottle is much cleaner because of the way you squeeze the gel out.
wtnhunt
Usually use aae plastifletch vanes, they come with the aae fast set gel. Far as I know the aae gel is the same thing as super glue fast set gel, also use it. Have used goat tuff glue, no complaints with it either. They leave the shaft clean with no scraping! They look great too.
