Far from true. What Ted did was wrong and he is paying the price. He broke the law once and I really believe he did not know it. Who in their right mind would put it on a tv show knowing it was illegal? The guy is no Noel Feather. He has done more for hunting and the pro 2nd amendment then pretty much anyone. For that I will cut him some slack. Even if he was Joe Nobody he would deserve a second chance in a situation like this. How many people have opened a camp for kids to take terminally ill kids hunting when Make a Wish wouldn't. None of the haters in this thread. As far as promoting C'mere Deer, anyone one this forum would if they came home to a pile of money for doing so. It is no different then Waddell and Dinty Moore, Rome and Five Hour Energy and so on. Ted can come off a little harsh, but he is the same ole Ted every time. I like that in a person. We saw Ted in concert last year. I hope I have half the energy he has when I turn 60. The guy is intense and full of life....

And I still maintain that without his celebrity status, every post here would be messages of condemnation. If he was just an average Joe Hunter, you wouldn't be reading all the justifications and excuse-making, but just a call for his head. I've seen it before.

Quite possibly, but then again does the average Joe Hunter do as much for gun rights or the hunting world as Ted does? He was definately in the wrong but that IMHO will somewhat offset for the work he does for our sports.

To be quite honest the average Joe Hunter doesnt do 1/100th what Ted has done for the outdoor world. At the same token, without his celebrity status you would have never even heard about this. He would have been slapped with fines and it would have been local news only.

See? ....... I rest my case. There seems to be a distinct level of fame and popularity where individuals not only feel above the law, but also where others accept that they are above the law and begin to excuse what would be considered totally unacceptable behavior by anyone else.
