redkneck
I never did send any as a kid, but some friends would every year and get a nice pile of lures. Anyone still do it?
dbHunterNY
I never knew anything about being able to do that.

redkneck
I just always thought how cool it was that their skirts were made from squirrel tails. I looked at their website last night after I was thinking about it (I figured they would have went to some synthetic by now) and sure enough they still pay you for tails. You won't get rich with it, but when you check that you want lures instead, I think they send you a lot more than double the tail bounty. Just something I think is pretty cool that's still going strong. http://www.mepps.com/programs/squirrel-tail/
dlriggins
I have never heard of this untill today I may just have to send them some tails (after all I find they have too little meat and too much bone LOL)
redkneck
I think it's a great thing for kids to stock their tackle boxes and teach them a little about lures in the process.
Turkeygirl
I've heard of it. I should try to do that!
gzilla45
I don't shoot nearly enough squirrels to make any money off of this but my uncle and I turn in the tails we get every year. I don't fish much anymore so he takes the lures that we get. It's a pretty cool concept they have and it has been going on forever. My dad would tell me that they would do this when they were younger and in today's high-tech, mass produced world it is neat that they still do this. gzilla45
Mu uncle lives about 3 miles from their headquarters so no shipping required. I'm pretty sure I read on their site instructions for shipping the tails. I'll try looking again and will post the link if I find something. Michiganbuckhunter
How many tails do you need to ship to get some lures? It doesn't say on the page
