woodshed
What's the best/typical range to zero a scope on a .44 revolver? Thanks

m gardner
Seventyfive yards will probably give you the ability to hold dead on and kill to 80 or so without compensating for holdover or under. Take it out and see for sure what range you can put a bullet into a 6 inch circle (3 inches high or low) with a dead on hold and how far you need to hold out to 150 yards which is about as far as mortals should probably shoot with a revolver. The height of the scope above the bore will determine how flat it seems to shoot and is different from revolver to revolver. I sighted my Blackhawk Hunter at 75 and hunted prarie dogs with it and did a good job. Mark
