Very very dry in the lower Catskills. The leaves are falling off many trees and out streams are quite dry.. It was a welcome rain.
elkoholic
We got just enough here to keep the dust down, but maybe there will be some more tonight. With cooler temperatures the rest of the week, it looks like we just might make it through the fire season without a major forest fire. Archery season starts Sept. 4th and the upland bird season opens the 1st so a cooling trend is a good thing.
Shaun_300
It rained all day yesterday and today here. Doesn't look like it's going to stop until tomorrow afternoon sometime.
dbHunterNY
This morning it was darker and cooler. It felt a little like fall. The rain sure did come. I bet the creek behind the house is flowing good right now.
Jeramie
We got 0.0000000000000000000000000001 yesterday. By the way, there is a 0.0000000000000000000000000001 margin of error... Seriously, its dry here. We need rain in a bad way. We had a really wet spring but when you have close to 2 - weeks of 100+ deg temps it dries everything out. The cold front is hitting us today and we are finally suppose to get a break in temps. Hopefully they are right. We also have chances of Thunderstorms. It looks like it could rain now in Tulsa. Hopefully it cuts loose.
wtnhunt
Dry as a bone here and has been for a while now. Funny how that goes, seems last year this time of the year when our contractor was trying to get our basement dug and poured it was raining nearly every day. Hunt or be Hunted
Same as Jeramie and William, Dry as a bone. We really need some here. All of the corn is dead already. The the Soybeans are working on it. I'm starting to see leaves falling off like It's fall already!
coondog
It rained here in Oklahoma City all morning and cooled off to was over 100 now high 70's
Turkeygirl
Well after the weekend apparently we got up to 2" of rain. Going into a warming trend this weekend into next week....Sept. 1 is our goose and squirrel opener...I'd prefer some temps more in the upper 60s/low 70s. Squirrels I bet will be loaded with the warbles...aka the grub/larva in their skin (gross).
TBow
Late Sunday night and early Monday morning we dumped on. I gave consideration to building an ark we got that much. Just about every basement in town reported some level of water in the basement. The lawns sure responded to it though, 'cause they're as plush as I've seen them all summer. Get rid of it now so it's not pouring when I go moose hunting in exactly one month......and counting! TBow
