Bret Favre

Ummm...I think he'll be a huge dbag who hams it up for the cameras in his Wranglers all year, Then he'll throw a key INT that costs his team a playoff game. You know... pretty much what he does every year except that one time when him led a GREAT team to his ONLY Superbowl....you know...the same thing Trent Dilfer did.

Over-rated, bump, bump, bump-bump-ba, Over-rated....

Longevity does not denote greatness....

I think he will have a decent year but nothing like last years. The Pack will go 13-3 and win the NFC North this year. The offense is just too good.

The packers offense is awesome, especially Rodgers but I think their D is going to suck this year. Plus their special teams are horrendous, still I will cheer for them wether they go 13-3 or 3-13. I have been through plenty of losing seasons with the Pack, so I am prepared for anything.

Not a Viking fan, but I would like to see a repeat performance by Favre. I dont understand why so many people hate that man. I can understand Packer fans not liking him but thats it.

Arent you a Cleveland Browns fan? How many Super Bowls have they been to?

Perfection. You know, the 1996 Packers were a great team. Offense, defense and special teams. Without question, the defense was the calling card of that team.

He won't be nearly as good this year. The Saints showed how to beat the "new" Favre last year. Any team in the league would take a couple 15 yard roughing penalties to knock him down and out. The Queens will be 2nd to the Pack in the North this year.

They've won the second most pro football championships, second only to the Packers, choch.

What is the difference? I mean, you don't get to see Janet Jackson's pastied breast, or 65 year old washed-up rockers for an hour and half duirng the half...but it was the championship of the highest level.

ESPN doesn't tell you to think about that though, so I understand why you don't.

I also get why you support him, Favre does look great in those Wranglers with that ole gunslinger, put 'er in the ole vice grip bravado. 'Nuff to make any young lad a little weak in the knees...no shame in that Ethan.

No he looks good out there on the field showing them guys half his age how its done. I would be ashamed to say I got beat on the field by a guy that old. Brett Favre is a legend and even though Ive never been a fan of the teams he has played for, I respect him for what he is. A legendary football player who will be remembered along with Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning etc. If you get on here and bash Favre you are bashing the game of football. You dont have to cheer him on, but show respect for who he is and what he has done. You come off as the same type of person as you desribed Favre. Re-read the first sentence in your first post and you will know what Im talking about.

The difference between me and your boy Favre is I don't need ESPN to stroke my ego, I stroke my own. You see?

LOL...settle down now ladies.;)

I was a big Vikes fan before Favre came along, and I'm glad he decided to play. I'm not a huge Favre nut, but despite his turnovers, he's been one of the best QB's the NFL has seen. If Rosenfels or Jackson would be the starting QB I don't think the Vikes would stand a chance at winning the north...let alone a super bowl. At least with Favre Vikes fans feel like there's a solid chance at it. The problem they'll have this year is who's going to catch the ball...I seen this morning Sydne Rice had hip surgery, and who knows what will happen with Harvin.

I said Super bowls....so the last like 40 years. Im not talking back in the day.

LOL! I love it how kids like Ethan think the world of football all started with the first Super Bowl. I hear this all the time at school.

Like Chris, I think Brett is going to come back and get hurt real bad. Remember he cannot take pain killers like you and I because of his one time addiction to them. He is already hurt now with a bad ankle.

Now add on the feud with his coach (fueled by Brett's ego) and you have the makings of a ho-hum season.

I see the Pack winning the north this year if their defense can stay strong.
