redkneck
The camera post in the equipment room got me thinking. Post your most common settings, here's mine: 2 pics every 3 minutes IR I'm just curious what you guys like. To me, having to go through 1500 pics in a week is a bit much. redkneck
I should've clarified, I got my cam on a feeder at the moment, I sure don't get 1500 pics on a trail in a week.
dbHunterNY
I've got two cams out right now on trails. I've got my trail cam set to take 1 picture, then trigger again up to a minute later, and on 24/7.

I've got my trail cam set to take 1 picture, then trigger again up to a minute later, and on 24/7. That's how my cuddeback is set up right now. I had put my Reconyx up for sale, but after using the two cuddeback captures(one IR on flash) I'm realizing that 1 pic every 30 seconds can make it more difficult to evaluate your deer when a new one shows up or when you have multiple bucks of the same caliber. I can say I love the pic quality of the cuddeback, but I won't buy another one just because I want more than one pic of my bucks.
Rhino
My 3 old Cuddes (the Expert models) will only go as fast as 1 pic/minute so they stay there. I agree with hoosierhunter about the Cuddes. My Reconyx cam is set on the internal feeder mode setting whenever it's set on a food source or a salt lick. When it's on a trial, it's on the trail setting. I may have to go to the advanced setting mode to reduce the number pics when I pull my camera this weekend. It's on a protein feeder right now. Got my new Reconyx in this week. Will set it out this weekend in a secluded location.
Turkeygirl
My Leaf River is currently set 2 photo Quick Shot mode...it takes like 20 seconds between shots though, not a few seconds like on my Scoutguard. It's also on 24/7, 7mp and high resolution.
wtnhunt
Had all my setups when I had the 4 homebrews running set to trigger each following trigger after initial wakeup of the cam to be fast. Basically as fast as the batteries allow for the flash to recharge they would fire. After losing the two cams to the floods I have one pix setup left running, it was set on trail mode, which means after the first trigger in a sequence it held the camera on ready. Unfortunately there was a problem with that board firing off hundreds of pics of nothing, it was getting hung on the trail mode with one event so I had to change it to trigger only once every minute. My cam on the mineral site is set to rapid fire, just as fast as the camera is ready. Have had too many times we have had multiple bucks come in on the minerals and if the cam were taking a pic at the rate of only one a minute we would likely miss seeing some of them. Getting between 70-200 pics a week there right now.
Strut10
When set up on a road or trail or scrape I set my Cuddies at 1 pic/30 seconds. Over a bait source in the winter, every 1-2 minutes is plenty.
