Re: I am a LOSER.....

My buddy knows how you feel. Last year he gets in his stand before daylight. Just after first light a nice 6 pointer comes in. At 20 yds he draws and...where the h@ll is my pin??? He then realizes he never attached his sight after taking the bow out of its case.

Well at least that 6 will be a nicer 8 this year grin.gif

Re: I am a LOSER.....

Well since we're all admitting how stupid we are, I thought I'd pine in, Get to the site, hook my stand up to the tree, tie my bow line to the stand, climb the tree only to realize that I forgot to hook my bow up to the other end...ever fished for bow from a treestand??? Luckily I caught it and was able to pull it up!

I went to the stand anyway and didn't see anything but only stayed for about an hour after shooting light. I wanted to leave before anything showed up so I wouldn't feel any worse.

I would have done the same thing. My luck a huge buck would have came within shooting range and me with no arrows!

Re: I am a LOSER.....

I forgot my release the other day and had to drive ALL the way home to get it.

I had my son along for his 1st bow hunt ever. He was an observer not a hunter, to young still.

Lucky for me my hunting property is only 1 mile from the house! LOL

I was still PO-ed.....

Especially since we got started late due to his school schedule...

We did not see a thing until we climbed out of the ground blind. There was 1 deer at the other end of the field.

Of coarse right under the stand I had planned to hunt before I decided to take my boy to the ground blind.

Go figure.... crazy.giffrown.gif

Re: I am a LOSER.....

Never quite done that but i have gotten 25 ft up in my climber got my bow hung on the hanger and went to attach my bag onto a limb, only problem was I forgot to check the limb. Put my bag on it and watched it fall, had to climb back down and pick it all back up. All the noise I made i'm suprised the deer didn't come in with "coopins" for the circus they thought was going on.

Re: I am a LOSER.....

Thanks! You all are making me feel better and better all the time. A couple of years ago I was hunting some of my wifes uncles land. I was trying to fill feeders while walking to my stand so I had 101 things to get. I got feeders filled, made it to my stand, hooked on my climber......wheres my bow??? Crud, I literally ran back to my vehicle wondering if it would still be there. I was parked on a decently well traveled backwoods, gravel road. Thank goodness there it sat without being bothered. I got lucky that time. That could have turned out to be a 700 dollar mistake by the time it was over and done with. Keep the stories coming. These are great. Greg
