Dakota
Squirrel, rabbit and dove season opens up in the morning. Don't have class until noon, so I think I'm going to do a bit of dove hunting in the morning on some public land by myself and then, after class, I'll be going out on some private land with a couple buddies of mine. Can't wait to do some serious dove dumping! Dakota

I mean, when where you going to tell me this?! You've been so quiet about it... Smoke a big 'un, buddy! This morning was a bit of a bust (as far as shooting). Saw a lot of doves, none of them shootable, some ducks and geese, a few pheasants (almost ran one over too ) and a deer. Nice and chilly with a beautiful sunrise; it was an amazing morning. Dakota
goose, dove, and squirrel started here today. I was lucky enough to shoot a limit of doves today Very nice, Chris! How many is that? Ours is 15 per/person here in SD. We don't have huge dove populations here, they're just kinda spread out and scattered. Went out with two buddies of mine this afternoon. We had a blast but only shot three. But it was great; nothing like relaxing on a hay bale with a can of pop, a box of shells and joking around with good friends. My buddy didn't want his two doves, so I added them to my own and had a nice little dinner tonight. Here's a picture of our hunt. Well, I'm pooped! lol I'm going to bed. Happy First Day of Hunting Season, all! Dakota

Not a bad hunt for public land
