GREAT!!! Congratulations! I've never had the chance at Mulie, but that looks like some fine steaks to me! Soak that sucker in some good marinade and have a good dinner! Hope to add to the kill list in about 21 days!!!

I got another 8 point on camera, but he's a small one too. Still looking for a shooter.

Thanks! Its my first Mulie so I am pretty excited! The darn thing pretty well committed suicide by jumping the fence and feeding 12 yards away:gun2:. I was after alot bigger bucks but the whole situtation was too cool to pass on this guy. He only went about 125 yards and piled up but i never did find a blood trail. I have some tenderloin and backstrap marinading as i type this, should be mighty fine eating!!

I'm still waiting but ready, my stands are hung, and the cameras are giving me plenty to look forward to. Hope everyone stays safe and has a great time!

What do you guys think of this buck? I can't tell much about him, but he looks like a shooter for here in Bama?!?!?!? Kinda messed up rack?

I made it out for my first sit Friday afternoon. I didn't get a shot, but it was a decent hunt considering the heat and mosquitos. The wind was wrong for my lock on stand at this property, so I lugged my climber out. By the time I got set up I was dripping with sweat. Within 10 minutes I had a doe come in to about 50 yards and she hung out for over two hours, but never gave me a shot. The highs Saturday and Sunday were around 89 degrees, so I didn't go out the rest of the weekend. It's supposed to cool off a little later this week, so hopefully next weekend I can get out a little more.

I hunted with some buddies all day yesterday and seen pretty decent movement. I had a 4 pointer at 10 yards, but it's too early in the season to think about shooting him. One buddy shot a 160" 13 pointer that he rattled in.

I have some crazy stuff going on with work right now, so it may be a week or two before I can check back in, hopefully with some good news. The company I work for is on the brink of bankrupcy, so I'm not sure what the next few weeks will bring. Good luck to everybody!
