jcot2773
Ok, i'm torn I know muzzy is great and has a great reputation, but I have heard nothing but amazing reviews about slick trick either. Anyone here that has shot both and can give some good camparisons.
Squirrelhunter91
I've killed deer with Muzzy 75gr and Muzzy 100gr 3 blades. Flew great for me off all of my bows except for my DXT. My DXT seemed to like only Slick Tricks. Muzzy's are great heads. You can't be the price and they certainly can put a hurting on a critter when they find the right spot. I don't have any pics of Muzzy entrance/exit holes but I have a few Slick Trick pics. This is why Slick Trick 100gr Magnum's will be in my quiver opening day:
Squirrelhunter91
Actually.. I lied.. I did some digging and found 2 pics, entrance & exit of a 100gr Muzzy 3 blade on a doe I shot in
jcot2773
wow... that wound cavity is massive from those slick tricks! how do they fly in comparison to field points?
Leo
I've used both. Lately I've been very impressed with Slicktricks. The 125 grain Slicktrick Standards worked very well for me in Africa.
jcot2773
i will definitely be stepping down from a 125 to 100gr broadhead this year. 125 is just too heavy for my set up
RangerClay
I shoot Slick Tricks and they are awesome! Here are the Slick Trick facts: The blades are thicker than most other broadheads: .035" The blades come from Solingen and have a Rockwell hardness of 54, I believe, which is harder than all others except the Silver Flames. There are four blades, with a combined cutting surface of 2" on the smaller, Standard head, and even more on the Magnums. The Alcatraz locking system causes the blades to be interlocked within the ferrule. They cannot pop out. The new ferrules are constructed of a steel that is stronger than titanium. They fly extremely well and are guaranteed to fly like a field point, or you get your money back. The owner of the company will quickly and faithfully reply to all your inquiries. Lastly, it takes a long time for Slick Tricks to arrive in the mail. This is because post office had to keep sending their workers in to get their fingers sewn back together, they are too sharp to be left in a package!!! Squirrelhunter91
Slick Tricks fly like fieldtips for me out past 60 yards. Literally same hole accuracy with field points.
Straight Shooter
I've shot Muzzy's for years with the 75 and 100 grain heads, had great success with both heads on kills. I'm not above trying another head out and bought some 85 grain standards in Slick Tricks to try. they have the same impact as my 75 Muzzy's which I currently shoot now. I'll hopefully have a report on them afte the season opens, my brother has used ST's for the last few years and love them. It's just so hard for me to go away from something I've great success with over the year, i've shot Muzzy's since 1990.
Muleyman
Id go with muzzy. I have shot both slicktrick and muzzy, they both shot the same but the slickticks really whistled, and muzzy are cheaper. cant go wrong with either but I would still go with muzzy
