Jorden
Ok so here is the problem and I really cant figure out why this is happening. When I am practicing, shooting my field tips, I have no problem, I am dead on. But when I switch to practicing with my broadheads, my shots are consistantly high and left of the shots I just shot with my field tips. This has been happening every since I started shooting with my broadheads a few weeks ago and has only happened while shooting my broadheads, Occasionally I will hit where I am aiming but a majority of the time I am high and left...any idea why this would be happening or what could be causing it?? jcot2773
some broadheads just fly differently than broadheads.
cray8705
I have been having the exact same problem, working out trying to figure it out, i'll let you know if I come to any conclusions
jbeck
the field points adjust them selves in flight, the broad heads with wings on the front plane in the direction without stabalizing like field points. if you are getting good groups with the broad heads just move your pins it is not that uncommon to have you broad heads shoot a little different then your field points. jcot2773
there is a way to do it and that is to tune your bow for broadheads. i dont know exactly how to do it. i've never had any problems but it can be done

backwoodsbowhunter
ill put it as simple as i can a lot of braodheads just shoot differently theres different arrow dinamics between them and a field point which makes it fly differently i usually resight my bow in with broad heads
whitetailhunter32210
I Have found that mechanical broadheads fly more like field tips through my faster shooting bows. Slower bows it didnt really make a difference. Just something to think about. My bow shoots right with regular broadheads so i scribed a line on my side to side sight adjustments. one line is for broadheads and one line is for field tips. works pretty good
Turkeygirl
Usually my broadheads hit slightly diff. than my field points. Not too much. I just adjust my slights. I think possibly to is with your form, broadheads accentuate any slighty problem as well....
cray8705
I adjusted my arrow rest a little bit and it made a huge difference. Both the field points and broad heads are pretty much dead on now. I think the broad heads just made it more obvious that my bow wasn't exactly right where as the field points didn't show it that much. I'm glad i decided to shoot some broad heads before the season started.
jcot2773
amazing how paper tuning can make that big of a difference isnt it? lol
ChrisSeb53
ALWAYS broadhead tune... never go into the field without checking... as you now know it could have been disasterous!
