Your Labor Day plans?

What's everyone got going on?

Spent a good part of today using a hedge trimmer to trim mom's shrubs out back...my poor arms.

Tomorrow my sister and I are volunteering for a couple hours at our town's labor day grounds selling horse pull tickets. Our vet is in charge so we do it each year to help out, esp. since he is our neighbor and vet:)

Hoping for an afternoon squirrel hunt as well:ninja::gun2::gun_bandana:

Hmmm....got a few loud croakers in the pond that are getting pretty annoying.:hammer1: May go take a few pictures in my spare time.

Going to see the firetrucks! haha Then me my sister and 2 of my cuz's are gonig fishing all day! Went today and got like 14 fish!

Get off work in the morning....go do some work on our plots....try to catch a few winks....go up to my mom and dads for a BBQ and then try to get out one of my new trail cams......sit back have some cold ones and watch the football game till I fall asleep.

Gonna get up early tomorrow and go up to my buddy's camp for the morning to scout out some ponds up there for ducks and geese. They're calling for rain in the afternoon, so it all depends on the weather for the rest of the day. Might kick back on the couch and watch some Monster Bucks 18 on our new 58" plasma tv and surround sound system.

Dove hunted this morning. Might plant the grass seed this afternoon, but it's a little too windy; maybe this evening.

I think I'll finish the day by smoking some ribs, then watching the VT-Boise game.:cool2:

Sprayed roundup on some land for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service..then helped a buddy and his son install a new tower blind on my property..and moved my tower to another spot. May go pull the cards on the cams yet, so Slash can see whats been hanging around the farm..LOL then tonight I Got Fire & Ambulance & Solid Waste mtgs to go to even though it's labor day..then maybe i can sit down and relax for an hour before bedtime..I think it's labor day every day around here..LOL

Just been hanging around the apartment most of the weekend. First weekend we haven't had to travel, and 1 of 2 weekends of relaxing before traveling home for bow season each weekend (or until I arrow that big one)

Haven't done a darn thing all day except make a small pot of chili. It has been raining off and on most of the day or else I would have been out shooting my bow. Going to finish up the day by watching the VT/Boise St game tonight.

I cut this tree down about a year ago so I loaded a large Pecan tree trunk on a truck so it's ready to take to the mill tomorrow to make some lumber for a project. Other than that just laying around the pool like a I normally do in a hot summer day here in Texas.:cowboy:

Me, the Mrs. and 3 of the kiddos left Friday nite and hauled the boat out to my Uncle's cabin at Raystown Lake.

Burned a tad more than a tank of gas on Saturday and took a 1st class beating. Water was rough from the wind and the wakes from the heavy, holiday weekend traffic were constant. The lake did lay down about 2 hours before we pulled the boat out. It was still a ton of fun. Just could have been nicer water.

Also had some ******* steal a $175 part off my boat trailer while it was parked. Happy Labor Day to him and his. :hammer2:

spent the weekend in the woods working on plots, stands, and cameras:)....getting ready!!!

Spent the weekend in the UP, Michigan at the cabin... cut and split wood all day Saturday and hung metal siding on the sauna Sunday. We tinkered around on a few odds and ends today and I headed home around 3 this afternoon... just got in around 10:30.

The wife left for Miami way before sunrise...woke up and scouted some of the best ground ive ever hunted in my life...hung a set with my brother in law...spent as much time as we could setting the set of double hang ons for video and hunting purposes....and because we are men and when away from the chaos, wanted to take full advantage of it....went back to his place, checked our other set, checked food plots and then bush hogged a little here and there....not a bad way to spend Labor day i suppose.

Spent most of the day laboring on a tractor bushhogging interior roads and food plots on our place.

Friday did a little grilling and took my girlfriend's little girl fishing. Saturday we loaded up the truck and boat and headed to Lake Barkley and finished off the weekend with Drunken Chickens at my parents house. Great weekend!
