We lost our 13 year old Schnauzer in July. That was rough. We still have her companion (another 13 year old schnauzer). We know he wont live forever so we decided to get a puppy for our girls. Well, that and our oldest turns 5 in October so we can called it her "part of her birthday." In reality we just decided to get the girls a puppy.

We started talking about what we wanted. My wife knows a woman that raises high quality Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Her dogs have been in magazines, on stamps, etc. Beautiful dogs. However, I wanted a big dog. I really wanted a lab but my wife doesnt like labs because they are high strung for the first couple of years. We went back and forth and finally came to an agreement... we got two dogs.

My wife still didnt want a lab but was fine with a Golden Retiever. The search was on and it too FOREVER to find a good deal and a pretty set of parents. Finally we found out a guy I know had his female bred. He had 8-pups and cut us a good deal. Goldens are VERY expensive. I had no idea but its easy to find them listed at $500 and way.... way up. There are a lot of them listed at $2,500.

Anyway, so here are the new kids.
