bow hunting stand set up

I should've shot a couple picks of some of mine. Yesterday, I got a couple stand sites set and checked one other one at my parent's farm. One is for a climber on a trail leading out of a swamp and into a alfalfa. One is more in the swamp where multiple trails come together for a hang-on. Another, is a stand I've had built for a few years now that's in a funnel between two big sections of woods. Then at my place I got a stand spot set at the end of a hunt plot in the creek bottom behind the house for another hang-on. Tomorrow, I'll get a couple others setup behind the house. I'll have to take some pictures.

Looks like some nice setups guys.

Video from one of last years stands, second morning of our archery season. Actually had the stand in that same oak tree for three previous years in a row. Was going to put the stand in the same oak tree this year, but instead moved it down the treeline just opposite the trail going down the hill, would be to the left of where I was videoing from. Hung it in a maple a little higher. Great afternoon setup close to the corner of the food plot.

Will try to get a pick of that stand next time I get back there.

Will be putting a climber back in here on this spot. We have a 4h food plot in there this year. Little ridge just behind drops off to the river.

I don't usually think about taking pictures of my treestands from ground level.

Here's one occasion when I did. This is the stand I was in when I killed my B&C typical in Kansas.

After I shot him I grabbed my camera for documentation while he was still in front of me but still alive. Hey...I was excited! :D This gives you an idea what it was like below me.

After that year I hung my stand in the tree on the left closer to where I was standing for the stand pic. A couple of years ago I took this pic of an 8 point I passed up from that tree. You can see he's already walked through the lane in the pic.

Last year I passed up this buck in Illinois inside the 15 yard line from this stand. He had short kickers off both G2's but was only a 3.5 year old.

Here's a ground blind I made in Iowa where I sat on the edge of a bluff above a creek to relax and film deer. It put me about 20' above the bottom across the creek.

Here's a view from it.

Here's a still shot I took off the video of an NT I filmed from that spot standing just across the creek from me.

Here's a couple that came in right behind me maybe 10 yards away from my back side.

Here's a view from a climber I was hunting in Iowa last time I drew a tag. I caught this young 9 point passing through.

Here's one of my natural ground blind spots from the past. One of my chores this weekend is to build one in the same spot again. I've had deer pass so close I could have reached out the shooting hole and touched them.
