Rem308
WV is offering an early season antlerless only muzzleloader hunt in select counties for one week. This comes in a week from today and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm so pumped because this year my wife is going to join me for a few hunts when the conditions are right. I am can't wait and we'll be sure to take the camera along to try to catch all the memories.
Tominator
ML's are so much fun. Really glad Ohiobucks talked me into getting one a few years back. I love my Encore. Tack driver with 100 grs of Pyrodex shoving a 250 gr. Shockwave. Looking forward to youth season where son #2 and I will be in the blind together for the first time. Rem308
Sounds good. I'm shooting a Remington Genesis with 100 grains of Pyroxex and also the 250 gr Shockwave. Now mine isn't shooting as tight as yours must be, but it's still a good pattern at 100 yards, and I'm comfortable taking taking that shot on a deer in the right conditions. Good luck to you, hope all goes well with your hunt.
Rem308
Alright, clothes are all cleaned and now in the scent bags...gear is packed and ready...even my wife has been through a 'trial fitting' of all the gear that I'll have her wearing and carrying. Pretty funny to see her suited up. I have to carry a lot more snacks and items to keep her comfortable and content than on a normal hunt, but I'm still so pumped. I can guarantee I've never been so amped up for a doe hunt!
Rem308
Well, I wanted to post and let you know, I lucked up and took a real good doe with my inline yesterday. I posted the full story in the Deer Hunting page, but it was my first deer with a muzzleloader. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1229501#post1229501 The shot was a broadside, 70 yard shot and took out both lungs. The deer dropped in her tracks. Remington Genesis Inline .50 cal 240 Gr Sabot
