NEBRbruiser
I was curious if the unscented bug spray is REALLY unscented or have you noticed deer still catching wind of it?? If it works it would be like the best thing since slice of bread using that in combination with a thermacell. I am hunting out of a ground blind so the thermacell (havn't used one before) should work pretty good inside there. Any thoughts???

Rhino
The only supposedly unscented bug sprays I can think of is No Stinking Bugs and No Stinking Ticks. Both put off a scent I can smell so I have to believe a deer can smell it too. I've never used a bug spray that kept no seeums away. That is except for a thermacell. That's all I use anymore. mallard_drake85
Most of the chemicals used in bug sprays will have a residual odor, no matter what they box says. I personally use 100% deet on my skin, and perthemine on my clothes. The deet deters the biting flies and mosquitos, the perthemine kills ticks on contact. I've use both for years now and I am still harvesting deer in early season with no problems. mallard_drake85
wtnhunt
Used to use the no stinkin bugs fresh earth scent, matter of fact think I still have a can or two of it around somewhere. The no stinkin bugs worked really well even though you could smell the chemical. Had deer under me on several occasions while using it. About the only downside to that stuff is that it can burn your skin if you have sensitive skin. Thermacell works well, but I have had deer catch wind of the odor it puts off. That said the thermacell is about all I use anymore.
