The Kid
So I have this project that I'm doing for my polysci class where we are raising money and making thank you cards for the wounded soldiers. These soldiers that are wounded are the worst of the worst when it comes to how badly they are injured. The walter reed army medical center is not funded by the government so if something breaks or they dont have enough supplies they have to go without. Along with raising money we students are writing thank you cards and get better soon cards, last year we made around 3000 cards. i've been going around to the local school and I have some teacher who are haveing their students make some of these cards, and it hit me some of the most patriotic people that I have ever known is the family I have here on the realtree forum. Now I understand that there are a lot of people that are busy and don't have a whole lot of time but if you have children that love this kind of thing or you would like to make some cards yourself, I can promise you your time spent would be greatly appriciated. If any of you are interested in making a few cards up let me know and I'll shoot u my adress in a PM. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this
Hoosierbuck
There is an actual organization called the Wounded Warrior Project, which is separate from your commendable effort with the same name. WWP is a great charity. I am celebrating my 40th birthday by walking 40 miles and raising money for WWP on the 22nd. I am over half way to my goal of $2500. RT forums have been unusually quiet about the whole deal, though. Good form working on behalf of our troops, and good luck to you.
