stevebeilgard
just got back from alaska. believe it or not, i did very little fishing. but i did get our home all closed in. i probably went fishing a dozen times is all. i'll try to get some pictures and a story up one of these fine days. right now, i'm babysitting 4 grandkids for the morning and rilda is still sleeping. rilda has gone down quite a bit lately, and we may not be able to travel much any more. our winter plans for arizona may not become a reality. it's also not fair for our girls who want more time with her and she wants more time with the grandkids. seems fair to me. anyway, i hope to get settled in here in gillette this week, as i start some hunting next week. it's nice to see the internet again. redkneck
Good to see you back Steve! Sorry to hear about your wife's health, will say a prayer for her. This place has gone to pot since you've left and primarily focuses on problems with the opposite sex these days, so feel free to lend your experience to the conversation. Dakota
lol John! It has been pretty interesting, I must say. Glad to hear you guys are home, Steve, but wish Rilda was doing better. Are you going to be around in October? Dad and I are going antelope hunting the second weekend in October around Belle Fourche and we might just have to stop by and pay you guys a visit if it would be alright with you and Rilda. Besides...I'm pretty sure I left my sleeping bag there last year... Dakota

stevebeilgard
thanks for the prayers and well wishes. for those who remember, on april 4, 2008 a team of 9 doctors at the mayo clinic said rilda would not last a year. well, with prayers and hard work, she is well and doing way better than that. there is a lot that she cannot do, but she does remember all the grandkids and how good life is. we spend every waking moment together. please, please keep up the prayers. ruth, your flies floated though a wall of thousands of fish. they did well, seldom escaping capture on the way in. fishing in alaska is a bit different. it's not "do i catch a fish". it's "how many can i catch before my arms tire out". lol william: we're staying at randeans house (hunters daughter) at 307-670-8983. the oitkers will be here next week to fill a few antelope tags (no problem) then i'm all set for you and christina. feel free to make bets with jeff (texas trophies) on the biggest deer.... lol. jeff, i look forward to seeing you boys again. i may have to commute daily the 1 1/2 hours to get rilda her needed stuff and a kiss, but i may spend a night or 2 on the ranch. buckee, i haven't forgotten you but i have forgotten what i told you. let me know and i'll make it good. sorry for the lateness, but you'll at least have it for next season. i probably won't do anything for a few weeks to a couple months. i'm busy hunting so you have to wait.. again... lol. dakota, please give us a call and let's see if we can get together.
