Dawg
How high are your tree stands set? How high do you climb with a climber?
TN Bucknasty
How high are your tree stands set? How high do you climb with a climber? When the leaves are on, I seldom go higher than 15 feet. When everything is bare, I might go up to 25-30 depending on visibility and my own cover. redkneck
Ladders are 17', get a little higher in a climber. Too high and you're over the canopy in the swamp here.

The older I get, the less bouncy I become.
Ethan Givan
Lowest ladder stand I have is 15 foot. The others are about 18 foot. I usually climb up in my climber until I start pulling up my bow or gun with my pull up rope, and my rope is 20 foot long.
jcot2773
Totally depends on where I am and the cover around me.

I climb with the climber until I hit branches pretty much. I pretty much have a treestand as high as I can to get to branches and to have cover around to an extent and behind me. I've pulled my bow off the ground on a handful of occasions and my bow rope is 20 or 25 ft long.
Tominator
Depends on the terrain, available trees, and of course if deer are in the area. 18' minimum, but I prefer 20' to 25'.
ODH
hangons are normally around 15-18 ft. With my climber ill go anywhere from 15-30 ft depending on the situation.
HUNTINGMAN
Lowest ladder stand I have is 15 foot. The others are about 18 foot. I usually climb up in my climber until I start pulling up my bow or gun with my pull up rope, and my rope is 20 foot long. Same here for me. I have 2 ladder stands that are 12',a double and a single.when useing my climber I have a 20' rope to pull up my bow, when rope goes tight I stop climbing. This all depends on the cover to though,I will hunt lower if there is some kind of cover to conceal me.
wtnhunt
Depends. Ladder stands are 12 foot stands. Climber depends on the terrain but usually try to get 20 ft or higher. Hang on stand setup I have out is about 25 feet.
RangerClay
I never go over 16 ft. Period!
Strut10
I like my feet at 20-24 feet.
rhine16
Lockons and stands from 16-20 ft.. I've stopped in a climber at 15 ft and have climbed high enough for my thirty foot rope and bow to both come off the ground... just depends on the situation. MonsterBuck48
somewhere around 20 ft is comfortable but it also depends on what kind of terrain im hunting in to hwere i put my stand.
MUDRUNNER
My hang on stands have 20' climbing sticks. I usually hang them so the seat is just above the top of the ladder. When I use a climber I try to get a couple of feet higher.
Rhino
It all depends on the set up to hunt a particular spot. Available trees, topography, and cover all play a big part in that decision. My lowest treestand for bowhunting this year is only ~12' off the ground but due to the topography I'll be over 30' above where I expect to see deer. My 9 treestands for bowhunting (all hang on stands) range from that 12' stand for the lowest to 27' for the highest. Those footages are to the base of the stand. When it comes to climbers, it depends on the same thing. Due to the general problem of usually not being able to take advantage of cover on the tree I'm climing, I tend to climb above 20'. Also, the older I get the less inclined I am to use my climbers.
Tecumseh
I hang mine between 20 and 25 ft.
