HUNTINGMAN
I am laying here in bed and just had an idea after seeing a commercial. I was wondering if anyone has tried to make bacon jerky in a dehidrator. I think I may give this a try and see how it comes out,if anyone has tried this your comments are welcome. redkneck
Go for it! haha. Problem is with bacon is going to be the fat. Not so sure you'll get it to cure properly at low temps. Stay close to the commode and post how it turned out after you eat it.
woolybear
Sounds like a plan, but you gotta be careful with pork to the propper temp. A dehydrater's not gonna come close to doing that for ya.
wtnhunt
Would turn rancid rather quickly I am afraid. Too much fat.
Randy
I was watching food network a few weeks ago. They made bacon wrapped, deepfried hotdogs! It looked awesome! However, I don't think bacon would make very good jerky.
