WHISKEYSWAMP
My fuel pump went out on my 02 Chevy last week... I finally had time to drop the tank last night and noticed a small hole where the rubber tube clamps to the metal filler neck up towards the side of the truck... hole is in the metal part. I can't seem to find any online or at junk yard so was wondering if anyone here would know of a place... or might have one laying around.. lol Otherwise, I'll probably just try to clamp above the hole and hope that works for while. The Chevy dealer wants WAY too much for one of these.
Shaun_300
Put some seal-all on it and let it dry, should fix it up. Then clamp above the hole like you said.
WHISKEYSWAMP
thanks shaun... taking it to a guy tomorrow that said he should be able to braze weld it. if not, I will try the seal-all. Either way, it beats the $250 dealer cost for a part that probably costs $20 to make.
