Thanks again fellas!

Great pics Mike. Time goes by a lot faster up there when you're seeing some action like you are. It can be a long ole sit when you don't see any movement. Especially when it's cold!

I'd imagine it is quite a different experience up there. The hunting here is good at the very least. I see deer most days, but there are some slack times for sure. If it will make you feel any warmer I am wearing shorts and a T-shirt underneath the leafy wear..:D

Cool pics Mike. Is that a field to your left?

Yes, I am on an inside corner of that corn field in a fence row. There is a green field behind me. The deer are in the thick stuff up to my right. The zoom makes them look like they are right there.

The attachment pic shows an aerial of the land. the spot on the left is the stand location.

Wow, you've got 5 friends? You're a lucky guy. :disolve:

7 now! woooohooo!

Awesome pictures Mike and this is the first time I've veiwed your thread. LOL That is one heck of a thicket they are heading into and I don't blame you for not wanting to go in there again, but what if Gigantor runs in there? lol

Question though, are those stills froma video or actual camera or was someone up there with you? Just curious because of the one taken of you with you bow in hand? Pretty dang cool.

Thanks Kevin! Yes, I'd go in there for him, no doubt. I got a path cut in for a little bit and I threw my brush pants in the truck just in case, lol.

He comes up from the bottom straight down the fence row from the stand and moseys around the green field. I had him right under that tree the first Monday. I don't know if he'd run for that or not. I'd like to find out though. ;)

The photos are stills from my Canon camera. The stand is in a multi-trunk tree. I have my fanny pack secured on a hook with the camera secured laying on top with the timer set. It worked out pretty well in a pinch. I used to carry a little camera arm. I might put it back in the mix again.

I love the pics Mike! Amazing. As Kevin said, Love the one with the bow in your hand!

You got good deer there?

We have a few winners here, Jeremy. It is not Illinois by a long shot, but every now and then a real good one shows up. I am fortunate to have some fairly decent spots and have taken some nice bucks. Like everywhere there are some places better than others.

I miss being in a treestand. I wish everyone here that goes out hunting would take tree stand pictures. Please continue to do this Mike!

No problem, Ben! I enjoy sharing my time in the field. It gives those who don't get out much a chance to share the experience through my camera which most times is always with me. The pictures tell a story you know...:D
