Rem308
This weekend I got to hunt in the WV Early Season Muzzleloader Antlerless Only hunt (select counties) and my wife joined me for the first time. We really had a few great hunts but just couldn't get on the deer. Well this morning I hunted deep woods and was fortunate enough to take a good size doe shortly after daylight. There is a lot more to the story, which I will post tomorrow, but I wanted to share this picture that will say it all: Yep, you guessed it. Needless to say there was a lot of blood on that hillside this morning. Full details and pics tomorrow.

Rem308
Yes, she ended up being a real good doe. Plenty of good tender meat to go in the freezer.

Ethan Givan
Nice doe. You wont ever forget that deer. The only one you spilled your own blood for haha Congratulations on the doe. Don't think I have ever been scoped bad enough to make me bleed, knock on wood. lol. Me neither. I knew a guy who put a scope on his turkey gun and first time he shot it, it scoped him so bad he had to have stitches.

Rem308
Nice! Deep woods eh? How did you haul her out? Yep, there is a lot of food in the woods for the deer this year, they don't seem to be hitting the fields at all unless just passing through to another wooded section. I hunt up high on a hill so the drag was straight down to bottom. I then left her at a creekbed and hustled back to my truck where I unloaded my quad. This made for a much easier and faster haul back to the truck.
