buckee
Going with a guide is a rich mans way to go hunting alright Norm. It's a shame it's so expensive, but, I guess if all you do is guide as your business, you need to put some cash in the bank too.
HUNTINGMAN
I would prolly go about 1000$ for a good Midwest hunt that had some big deer.
Jeramie
It would have to be an incredible Sask hunt or something for me to spend even $1k. I cant fathom spending the loads some of these people are paying...

JimT
I am heading south soon. $1500.00 includes meals and lodging and up to four deer. Not a lot of money for a full week of nothing but deer, deer, and more deer. The vacation away part is going to be nice as well. Just not looking forward to the 15 hour drive. Ethan Givan
There is no way I would pay that much. I have priced do it yourself hunts, and semi-guided hunts at different outfitters and they are more reasonable. Thats the way I would go if I was going out of state for a whitetail hunt. MCH
I'd have to say about $2,000 would be my max on a guided hunt. But that would include food, lodging and no trophy fee.
jbeck
heck Norm I'm going to hunt my father in-laws ranch in Montana, license fees are 375.oo for deer, 212.00 for antelope, till I get there and back gonna be another 500 for airline tickets. A few snacks for me and the boys at the ranch are gonna be another 75.00 So if I calculated correctly this free hunt will end up costing me a minimum of $ 1162.00 and I'm betting this will go up. Mach1
I won't pay an outfitter to hunt whitetails because I've got easy access to them around here on private ground. Now I'd pay one to hunt animals that I don't have around here such as mule deer, elk, antelope, etc., but I'd prefer to DIY. Luckily, I've got a buddy that is from Colorado that lives here in IL now and his family owns some property and has access to other private property in the northwest part of CO that he's invited me to hunt sometime in the future when we can get our schedules aligned. So hopefully, I won't have to pay an outfitter anytime soon.
popgun
Nothing...Nada...Zilch.. My son and I already learned our lesson on an Illinois hunt that never happened. I'll buy my license local and hunt local from now on. Note to self: (Never again bid on a hunt in a forums charity auction.) Never ever. ....popgun
RangerClay
I would never pay for whiteatil hunting unless I was going to Sask. I don't have monster whitetails running around here but you could never put a price on the fun that I have with my family and friends. JimT
How many people pay for leases? Seems like a lot.... Hate to ever see it come to that here in Maine.
Jorden
Would have a hard time paying money for a whitetail hunt...I can do that anyday. If im gonna shell out money it would be for something I cant hunt at home.
