Why do people waste their time, if their just out there to spoil your hunt, lmao. Just have to vent I've taking a guy out to the woods to deer hunt, just for him to chase the deer off early, I think it's BS. I have meat to put in the freezer, not just to say Iv'e hunted. Thats when you can tell their not serious, to me it's some kind of ego boost for them.

ok so i will take the opportunity to clear this matter up a little...

brian (buckhunter76) was hunting a new location the past two days. he took one of his buddies with him, they were different ridge lines but within shouting distance. after the first 2-3hrs on stand he hears "help..brian come help me.help.." so brian climbs down and yells "hold on" , not knowing what happened brian walks to the other ridge and ask his buddy what was wrong. the response he got was " i had to pee, are you ready" as in ready to go. so that was the first time and the second time same thing happened but the response was "im dizzy". both times his buddy had an excuse to leave the woods about an hour before dark.

being the hunter brian is, he likes to stay in stand till after dark since most of the deer move just before dark. so as any one of us would be really mad about having to leave during the best time to be in stand. he felt he needed to vent.

i think i got the story right brian. so that should clear it up for everyone.

That's when you get the guy to a stand far far away from you and pick him up at dark. Hunted with a lot of new guys before, but never had anything close to that happening. Sounds like he doesn't need to be in a stand, maybe a ground blind beyond earshot, or maybe you don't need to take him again.

just my 2 cents.....

It's times like this you put them in the darkest, baddest swamp you can find. One of two things will happen. 1. They will be too scared to move and sit there until you come to rescue them. 2. They will decide to find their way out which will more likely than not get them lost and never want to hunt with you again. It's a win-win situation for you.

I'm definitely not hunting with him anymore, lmao. Sad thing is, the man's 52 years old, I think he's just afraid to say he's afraid of the dark, he hasn't hunted much, but he spent $500. on a bow and the sad thing is, he won't get to use it, lol. I felt sorry for him, cause he wanted to hunt soooo bad, but when I took him, he screwed things up for me, so I'm done with him. I even went through with him about hunting, heck I even let him watch some hunting shows, lol. Brock get your home man. I want to sling some arrows with ya. Thanks for all the responses. Patience is a virtue, and mines gone with him.

My brother-in-law was like that. It is fear. Written all over his face and body language.

In my case, he thought he saw a mountain lion then he admitted it was probably a deer.

Then he was too cold, then too upset, then bummed out, then after pointing out the deer right in front of him for 2 minutes, he got mad that his first deer wasn't a buck.

That was the last time I went hunting with him.
