gzilla45
http://outdoornews.com/illinois/blogs/ralph_loos/article_1f8ea340-cfb8-11df-90b1-001cc4c002e0.html Stuff like this irks me to no end and I'm glad to see they got slapped with a hefty fine. I sure hope they are forced to take down their pier as well. No offense to any of the fine folks on here from Illinois but the northern part of WI is being ruined by the people from Chicago. It seems to me that they think they can do whatever they want up here and generally have a "stuck up-I'm better than you" attitude. There is a reason that a certain acronym exists for anyone with an IL license plate. They were obviously in violation of local laws and didn't respond to anything that they were sent from the local government. Rant over, back to work I go. Ultradog
Yeah, property rights don't mean anything anymore. Doesn't matter if you own the land, zoning, land use, and wetland restrictions trump all ownership rights. I guess property rights means you have the right to pay taxes on it and not much else any more.
