aujack
Ok guys I have been shooting a bow for about 3 years now and think its time to upgrade my rest. I don't have a problem with my trophy ridge whisker biscuit but I would like to move on to greater things and get a rest that isn't a whisker biscuit. Now I know that I will make my final decision and have to decide on what I like the best but I just wanted to see what rests you think are the best as far as quality. Any suggestions will be awesome! Thanks!
ruttinbuc
Hi Jack, I have been using a QAD Ultarest dropaway that is a few years old with no complaints. Super easy to set up and it performs just as I need it to.
mikewink
I like the Ripcord.
jcot2773
i had a drop away rest for years. mine was not a full containment like the QAD but i did not like it. I went with a biscuit because its easy cant fail and its quiet.
ChasinTail
I just switched over from the WB this year for about the same reason you are. I went with the Octane Hostage and feel my groups have tightened up a bit. I had success with it Saturday, hitting a 6 point.
cray8705
I use to have a drop away that was not full containment and i did not like it all, I switched last winter to a QAD Ultarest dropaway and it is great. I even set it up my self and it works perfect. Another big plus is it is quiet. I would seriously recommend it, if nothing else at least check it out. dbHunterNY
QAD Ultrarest or Ripcord I'd say.
RangerClay
I decided on up grading from a WB about 2 years ago. I went with an QAD Ultra Rest HD and I really like it.
arrow32
When I buy my new bow next year I'll be putting a QAD rest on it. There great rest's.
ChrisSeb53
depends on if you want full containment or dont care... if you dont care go with the limbdriver... if you want full containment then the QAD Ultra Rest HD Pro is always a good choice
LifeNRA
I don't have a problem with my trophy ridge whisker biscuit If its not broke, don't fix it! LOL!
Flintlock1776
Drop aways are best. I'll upgrade from the one I have as I am considering QAD Ultra-Rest Pro Lock Down Fall-away. I like drop aways that don't have parts that touch your fletching or could freeze up like the whisker type deals. I've had WB damage my fletching that is why I moved to drop aways. No problems since. PaBowhunter00
I use a QAD Hunter drop away rest (49.99 - 59.99) depending on the sale, and I have no complaints (Put one on my fiances new Parker bow this year as well), doesn't touch my fletchings, and haven't seen a problem with bounce back. I'd highly recommend the QAD line of drop aways
huntnfish
One of my bows has a drop away the other a WB. No problems with either. For hunting it is hard to beat the WB.
Overwatch
Octanes rest is pretty nice less surface area as compared to a biscuit. it says that it increases your speed by 5 fps or somthin like that.. i think you should just test what you want buy it try it if you like it keep it if not take it back and try the next. I have one on my mathews and i liked it more then the biscuit its quieter then a biscuit as well. nothing against the biscuit because i used one for a while there i just think that the octane is a better choice. GWSmith
Yet another QAD Ultra Rest user here... I used a Muzzy Zero Effect for years and had no complaints as well just wanted to upgrade to newer equipment.
LifeNRA
LOL. I love it when people complain about WB damage to their vanes. Because going into using a WB rest, means you need to upgrade the material of vane! But hey! Use what you want, just make sure your doing what you can to optimize your equipment before you complain about it!
Griz
Been shooting the Trophy Taker Shakey for years... Haven't had any problems with it at all... Very good rest...
