I understand.....I am kinda going through the exact same dilemma you are..... i have one currently and it works....but its big and bulky. Sure would like to have a smaller one.......

I am currently leaning towards the RX-600....but also thinking maybe I can limp through another season with my big bulky bushnell one.....

From all of the reviews I've been reading Todd, the only downfall of the RX-600 is that it has a issue with low light .. not that's a big biggy .. other than that I like the 600 as well .. ;)

Yup that low light is the only issue I have seen......but I too agree not a big deal. I generally range trees and other things prior to the actual shot. Of course I have always done this because my range finder was to big to operate in one hand and hold my bow in the other.

I really like nikon scopes and we have a bushnell range finder I have had no problems with, but of those options I would probably opt for the leuopold Luke. The nikon rangefinders have also heard about warranty issues(cough cough Tominator), I have had some issues with bushnell csr's over the lifetime warranty on one of the companies they own.

btw, welcome back.

On the video arm, check out the archers choice by ameristep. For the money I would tend to doubt there is a better one on the market.

have you decided yet????

Had my dad looked through the nikon 550 and leupold rx-600 this weekend while he was at BP......He said the Nikon was clearer and the cross-hairs/aiming device was brighter..... So he said he would have bought the nikon based on that.....

Yep, sure did Todd

I went with the Bushnell, I'm hoping I made the right choice, if not, atleast Cabelas is decent about exchanges .. lol

A crossbow wouldn't be any different than a slow bow or a fast bow. It's all about sighting in your bow on flat ground where the distance is completely horizontal and effected by gravity. Then when elevated all you care about is the distance from the spot straight down underneath your stand out to the intended target. The error in yardage is less effected by a flatter shooting bow or crossbow, but wouldn't need to work any different.
