hoosierhunter
Well I fgured this might be fun to start a thread where a user posts when he/she has missed a deer this year. You can post details or not but I bet this list could get very long!
hoosierhunter
Last night I missed a doe. Shot for 40 and she was 30. Right over her back! Thank goodness for lighted knocks!
Tominator
Put me down for 2. September 26th. Doe. Long shot, right around 40, clean miss. Have no idea whether the arrow was over or under. October 3rd. Doe. 28 yard shot. Hit her in the shoulder I believe. Lost the blood trail after about a half mile of tracking.
Rhino
I'm in! Opening morning (Oct. 1st) missed a doe at 32 yards. Looked like she ducked so low her chest touched the ground. Clean miss right over the top of her ducked down shoulders. BTW...one of my best friends had 3 misses at the same doe that morning. He finally killed her on his 4th and last arrow in his quiver. He gets 4 chances & I wasn't offfered a 2nd chance...go figure. Never heard of anyone ever getting 4 swings before. He obviouisly had a dumb one come in. redkneck
I missed last Saturday morning on this freaky thing. He's on my neighbor's property, not a deer on the lease. He came out so close, that I was afraid to stand and tried to bend over the shooting rail of the climber and had crappy form. An old lesson I should've learned a long time ago. Got a few belly hairs on my fletchings and he went about 25 yards and started browsing again. :fish:
redkneck
He's a 3.5y/o and needs to be taken out.

MCH
Bottom cam on my bow hit my stand and almost made me drop the bow.....ended up shooting right under a doe at 20 yards.
jbeck
Is this only for this year or years past as well, Never mind there isn't enough memory to store the missed I've had in 32 years of bowhunting. LOL
abear491
Last Sunday morning shot a doe hit it and didn't find it. I was holding her for 25 and she was like 28 or 29. When I hit her she did the leg kick and everything. About 500 yards later, and 2 1/2 hours later we jumped her and never to be seen again. ruttinbuc
I shishkabob-ed a doe through the back straps on opening day Sept. 11. Never did find her or the arrow after looking all the next day in a pouring rain. If no infection sets in she might make it. I hope

m gardner
This arrow killed 2 bucks before it let me down and killed this ponderosa pine. The 3X2 that had been standing between the tree and I bolted when I released the arrow and stood about 70 yards away staring at me. Disclaimer: No animals were harmed in the making of this picture. Two days later I shot another buck with same arrow and our relationship is on the mend now.
