mikebohio
i think the deer at my spot bought range finders. 40 yards is the most i will shoot at live game. Ive got deer skirting me almost every weekend at 45 50 yards. no good trees to hand a stand even if i wanted to move. going to stick it out in my honey hole because if i move and see them pass my blind while I'm not in it ill probably throw my bow out of the tree and buy a set of golf clubs lol
arrow32
lol I have those weeks. Thing I've found best after seeing it happen day after day is to move. Stinks when you do move then you see deer going by in shooting distance from where you were but if you get a good buck from your move it'll all be worth it. Turkeygirl
Last year that was me...the deer kept coming in and out in this one corner...A big monster came out and I watched him walk right into that corner. We now have a ladder stand in that corner...lots of trails there so we'll see what they do this year but I still have my one stand set because deer still come in.. Flintlock1776
Practice shooting out to 50 yards your equipment should be up to it with these modern bows. You can do it. Good luck

Good luck i can shoot a 3d target well at 60 yards but it doesnt move or duck. besides if i would shoot to 60 they would come in at 65 lol

jcot2773
Don't shoot past what your comfortable with, last time i did that I made a horrible shot, never recovered the deer or my arrow.
dbHunterNY
i know dont you love it. if it was easy i wouldn't be so obsessed that's right. when they get into bow range you're right there with everything going on, not in a different world 300 yards away from the animal out in a field. Jeramie
Know what youre comfortable with! They can do some funny things at long distances. I actually had a buck spin on an arrow at about 10 -12 yards once. He spun so fast it hit him in the neck quartering away. He dropped like a brick. Had it not found his spine I would have never known what happened! Bows are capable of 50 yard shots but everything has to be dang near perfect!
