aldridgem1
So im sure there has been several post about the rage broadheads but i was just wondering if anyone uses them and what they think. I just got the 2"/ 2 blades the other day. Ive actually never shot mechanicals before and a little nervous about it. Just wanting some opinions if i spent my $40 well. ohiobow
with rage heads shot placement is crucial but if you make a good shot then prepair to get your boots bloody tracking them by far the best blood trails i have ever seen are from rage and i have shot many diffrent heads from mechanicals to fixed and even a flint head
cockyincarolina
I've used the 2 blade since they came out and I LOVE them....Very nasty broadhead, and I haven't had a deer or hog run over 40-50 yards....even the 200 lb hogs I shot couldn't handle the RAGE... Good luck!!
Sheald
I personally use the Grim Reaper BH and in my opinion much better head. My brother in law always did use the rage until he messed up on a bear. The Rage will deflect off a shoulder or something like that. The Reaper punches right through! I have shot several deer with Reapers and the blood trail is as good as the Rage trust me.
Tominator
Yep, I like them. Only thing I could maybe complain about is that penetration is kind of suspect IMHO.
redkneck
I shot them last year and wasn't real happy. I will say this, I don't think you can get a deadlier BH for a broad-side ribcage shot, or if I had to gut-shoot one, I would feel better knowing I had a rage than a muzzy on it. I don't like the performance as much on quartering away shots. I shot one from a high angle quartering away and I think only one blade deployed. The deer piled up in 40 yards though. They are very good broadheads, but like all broadheads, they have their niche shots. Good luck with them, they should serve you well. I went back to fixed blades, also make sure you check the blades before you shoot, they will come off the o-ring in your quiver..

Buckhunter76
I'm using muzzy phantoms this year, killed two deer, had no problem. Killed my buck last year with the same thing. Switched from using rage, just had to much crap luck with them, I was using the 3 blade and all the blades wouldn't open, lol. But good luck using them. outdoorsmen1
i used the rage 2's..will not change anytime soon..shot a little messed up buck just last week with one and it was quartering away, and it just ripped thru..the deer only ran like 30 yards. its worth the extra 10-20 bucks..good luck! shockwave
No complaints from me with them, i`m one for one with them..I shot a doe with one last saturday. It punched through her sternum "quartering away shot" the blades are still straight, i cleaned it up, re-sharpened it i`m gonna use it again tomorrow..And it made one helluva blood trail.. Straight Shooter
I tried them out last year and had some success with them, loved the blood trails but not to impressed with the penetration of them for going through bone. The tip isn't designed for bone splitting like Muzzy's or Grim Reapers. I've seen to many videos of the these heads on arrows coming back out with no pass through. They really suck for changing the blades out or even the cutting tip, very time consuming and somewhat dangerous. I'm still staying with my Muzzy's but never afraid to try a new head out, I hope I can take a deer in Ohio with the Reapers I bought.
