I killed my first deer of the year last weekend. A big doe at 35 yards! So I am cocky as I can be when I took my son this morning. I get him settled in my little "hotspot" and wandered off away from him about 200 yards and climbed in a new spot. When she came out of the pine thicket she was 10 yards from me ,and behind a tree. I went to full draw and waited..First her head, then her neck, and then there was her big fat body standing broadside. I'm thinking about how bad the RAGE was going to hurt, and thinking about backstap and jerky and WHACK....I hit a limb. Bowhunting is AMAZING!! It goes to prove that when you see a deer with the gun the hunt is all but over. When you have a bow in your hands the hunt is just beginning.....I'll get her this weekend!!:bang:

Oh I think I got one a little better (well i really feel like crap though). It was like two weeks ago. We had a really cold morning and in the stand i was, I called my wife to wake her up around 7:15 and at 7:30 i was watching these two squirrels playin above me when I happen to look down at a really nice ten point bruiser of a buck taking his morning dump. After doing his thing he walked behind a little thicket which gave me the chance to stand up and get ready, he came out from the thicket i drew back he stops and dosent even know whats going on, i release all i heard was a loud crack and see ya later never found the deer. Come to find out after talking to my brother the broadheads I was using werent the best for busting through bones in his experience. :bang:
