Congrats!

Are you doing any sort of diet?

If so, what? I am going to have to change mine up after this week and am wanting some ideas from others that are loosing weight.

Missed this one, sorry....I have just cut back on everything, especially lunches. I used to eat chinese food all of the time, burgers, etc. Pretty much no more fast food, no pop/soda to speak of either. I'd imagine if I started using the treadmill, I'd get to 225 a lot quicker.

237 this morning.

This is starting out as a tough week. I am getting a lot of cravings for bad foods which is making me super hungry when I am not normally hungry. I am downing a lot of water during these times to cut the cravings but its killing me. I also am not seeing any change in the mirror and that is discouraging me but I do have to punch a new hole in the belt tonight or tomorrow. I also got on the scale this morning and I was at 225 even. How I gained 1.6lbs baffles me. I hope I can figure something out and reach my goal of 220 on Monday. Sometimes I just want to cave in and make a big fat juicy bacon egg and cheese biscuit with gravy. See, there is one of those stupid cravings and I just had a turkey sandwich on whole wheat with hot sauce and a side of pineapple. Dang this week! Dang these cravings! Dang it all!!!! Oh, and beer. I want beer, many of beers, but I am staying strong....I think.....Gotta go run or do something now.

Well, after that last post, I went for a 2 mile run/walk followed by a 30 minute nonstop upper body workout. By the time I was done I wanted to die. No food after that workout, only a glass of water. This morning I weighed and was up another 1.6lbs. I am at 226.6lbs now instead of the 223.6 I was at Sunday night. This sucks... :(

Could it be water weight or muscle gain causing the increase?

Beats me. I know since I drink so much water throughout the day that I have never really seen an increase or decrease with weight when I intake water. Even after I sweat like a champ or drink a gallon of water, my weight stays the exact same. As for muscle, I am not sure it grows that fast and as sure as poo dont feel any stronger. I know I am gaining a little muscle mass but mainly doing my lifting and high pace workout to get my heart rate up for some cardio building. I am unsure of what's going on, but I know I will be off the scales until Monday morning. I have been very strict on my diet and will continue to be. I will also do my hour long workout with a run every night this week. Then plenty of walking and exercise this weekend while I duck hunt. Carrying in 3 dozen decoys on my back, 3/4 mile walk, setting decoys in waders and retreiving birds in waders is a dang good workout.

I am keeping this alive.

This morning I was at 224.4. point 8 lbs heavier than I was last week. Which baffles me but oh well. I was strict on my diet and excercise and how I gain weight, I will never know. I plan to change a few things up this week, so I hope that shocks my body back into weight loss mode. My plan/goal for next week is under 220. What is going to kill me is on next Monday I fly to Vegas for the week. Hopefully I can find the gym at the hotel to use and try and not gain too much weight there. Anyhow. I am kinda bummed that I did not go down this week, but I am at that wall I guess. Head up and keep trying.

  • 2 weeks later...

Alright, I'm back at it guys. I hit the gym yesterday for the first time in 6 weeks and WOW did I lose my stamina. I did maybe 1/6th of a workout and was winded like crazy. Gonna have to work my way back up to where I was.

My weight is down tho. Weighed in at 191.3 this morning.

Just got back from a week in Vegas right after Thanksgiving and now getting ready to head down to South Carolina for two weeks. The workouts have stopped these last two weeks so I will be starting back again December 29th. I am actually going to enjoy Christmas and eat my Granny's awesome southern food. Then after Christmas I have no plans for vacation or family visits so it will be back on the diet and excercise hard core.

232.4 last week, 226.6 today. I did not plan to drop that much in one week and have been eating a TON of protein, shakes, bars and meat everyday, with one day during the week splurging and eating biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs. It was dang good. I am going to do the exact same thing this week plus a few beers for a friend birthday party on Saturday. We will see what next Monday brings. I want to hit 205 bad!

So I hit the gym hard today.....too hard. I started off running, and then did a typical day 1 p90X routine of pushups and pullups mixed with more running. Not even through the first round of pullups I had to hit the trash can and dispose of some green stuff in my stomach.

I made it the rest of the way weakly. After my workout I went and sat in the sauna for 7 mins and thats when the dizziness and nauseau set it. I barely made it out of there. I felt like I was gonna pass out and went into a cold sweat and then just stopped sweating and couldn't breath.

Not sure what happened but after hugging my knees for about 10 mins I rebounded and called it a night. This is gonna be a tough road to get back into....I think it's the cold air affecting me but I dunno.
