259 this morning!

What the heck?

Been on the treadmill a lot, and I'm also hitting the soloflex, but gain of 4, in a week?

Could be a lot of water too from your body adjusting to the new metabolism and work you're putting it through. It will come off pretty quickly when you start cutting fat. I

Will probably start posting again here pretty soon. A bunch of people in the area are starting a weight loss contest the 17th. They're giving away prizes, too.

Anyway, with my 20 year class reunion coming up, I'm gonna work real hard to win first!

Well, I started the weight loss contest 13 days ago. Weighed in at 256.2. The county had a good turnout for the first weigh in(125 contestants). My strategy was to cut out my 2 to 3 Mountain Dew a day and to eat healthy.

I signed up with http://www.myfitnesspal.com to help count my calories, fat calories and cholesterol(at my last dr.'s appt. I was told I had elevated chol. levels).

Breakfast every morning? Three hard boiled eggs...white's only.

Lunch? 2 cups of salad with baked chicken and low fat Thousand Island Dressing / or a 200 calorie Progresso soup / or a Lean Cuisine microwave meal.

Dinner? Subway 300 calorie wheat sandwich / Lean Cusine / or any other low calorie meal such as baked lemon pepper Tilapia.

I throw in a Quaker's Oats oatmeal raisen 90 calorie bar for snacks in between meals.

At night, I jog/walk for 20 minutes and burn on average 160 calories.

Anyway, after 7 days, I weighed in at 244.6 for a percentage of weight loss at 4.6 or so. Good enough for 3rd place out of 125. Was very proud of losing almost 12 pounds in one week!

Just weighed in this morning and while its coming off slower, I'm at 238 even. 18 lbs down in almost two weeks.

Feel GREAT!

224 as of last week and still doing my Monday weigh in. So tomorrow will hopefully bring some good numbers. I am still doing good on my diet, feel a ton better and having fun. I want to be at 210 in one month for my Birthday and then find 200 the month after, Then its time to start pumping my weights again.

Just got back from this week's weigh-in. I lost 7 lbs on the nose.

So far, I'm at 18.8 lost in two weeks. A little over 7% weight loss.

Feel great. Haven't gotten off track yet. Still running 6 days a week and so far, my only splurge has been a 6 inch wheat oven roasted chicken with no cheese.

Finished in 10th place for last week. I should note that I weighed in 7 days from my last date, while a lot of the contestants weighed in 8 days later due to bad weather.

They only list the top 12 and according to my calculations, I'm either in first or second overall. Noone in the top 12 last week finished in the top 12 this week.

Weighed in at 233.2 this morning. Down 23 lbs in 19 days.

Taking the wife to a "black and white" dinner tonight. Basically, a local chef that trained under Emeril Lagassi(sp?) is preparing a 5-6 course meal for a charity fundraiser. My goal is to sample everything, yet only finish the healthy stuff.......I doubt that works but I'm gonna give it a try.

Well, my fortitude was tested at the fundraiser dinner and I failed miserably. I'm blaming it on the alcohol(they served different drinks with each course).:D

Add to that the Superbowl party where I ate a little more than I should've, and what you get is a weigh-in this morning of 234.6.

I plan on stopping the water consumption at around noon and then run a little bit before heading to the official weigh-in. Hopefully, I can scavenge some decent numbers...but doubt it.

Started last week at 230. Down to 226 this morning. Once I make up my mind to do it I can drop pretty quick, but maintaining is the hardest part of course.

Didn't this thread used to be the "Users Daily Journal" lol before that room was closed?

I think tonight it will be Tilapia and spinach. When I keep my fat grams in the 20 or less/day range I can shed pretty quick.

Weighed in at 233.2 lbs. Down 23 lbs in 3 weeks.

Hoping to be in the 220's by next week's weigh in.

Before I began this diet, breaking the 200's was unrealistic in 12 weeks. But with 9 weeks remaining, if I can average 4lbs per week, I can hit the 199 mark.

On a side note, the wife and I decided to splurge tonight and eat at a local Mexican restaurant. Normally, I eat the Beef Fajitas....but I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I really think that this diet is going to change my eating habits.
