Finally!!

Dropped to 219.2lbs this morning. I have a pretty action packed weekedn planned so I am hoping I will be at 216 Monday morning and will achieve my goal of 5 pounds this week. Man, what a relief to break that 220 mark. I am in numbers that I have not seen in 10+ years.

You guys weighing every day aren't seeing true weight loss. The average human body fluctuates 3+/- pounds during the day. To measure true weight loss, you should only take your weight at a maximum of once a week first thing after you wake up and pee. I weigh around 190 at 8am and around 195 at 8pm.

Kyle I still weigh in normally daily but its as soon as I wake up in the morning. Normally I fluctuate about 3 lbs from morning to night. I started last march at 280.........today I'm 199 and can jog 3 miles. Can't tell you guys what a change it's made in my life. Im not ever going back to the back pain, worn out, and feeling like crap all the time. Keep it up guys it will come off and you will feel better than what you ever thought you would.

216 this week. Dropped three pounds. Hopefully March first I will hit my goal of 210 and then be seeing 200 sometime shortly after. My folks are flying out to visit April sometime and I want to be 200 or less by then. The last they saw me I was in the 240s so it would be awesome to be 40lbs lighter for them. I also needed some inspiration this weekend so I went to My Froyo. A frozen yogurt place and it was like a fat person convention! I walked out feeling good and wanting to keep on the diet. It was good motivation of what I dont want to be like. You guys should try it.

Just got back from the official weigh-in. 226.4. Two ounces away from losing 30lbs!!

To celebrate, I splurged and ate a hamburger from Braum's. Mayo only. I feel stuffed now....but glad I ate it. Wasn't as good as I remembered...LOL.

Anyway, I lost 8 lbs this past week, which gives me a little breathing room on the "averaging 4 lbs a week".

Here is a website that I found very useful. http://www.livestrong.com/

Once you create an account it will count calories, chart weight and give you a target calorie intake for whatever your goal is. It will also break your daily intake into a pie chart so you can see what % is fat, carbs & protein. It really helps take some of the guess work out. There is also an app for it so you can make entries from your phone.

Nice job guys...well except for Chris. Hehehe...just kidding man.

Keep it up. That livestrong website MD posted is a great way to count calories. I've been sucessful at weight loss over the past 4 years. The key for me was maintaining a log of what I ate daily. Well, that and exercise (running).

If you guys aren't counting calories and logging what you eat, you might want to try it. Set a goal for your daily calorie intake and do not go over it. The nice thing about that livestrong site is that you can search foods (even by brand name) and it will give you the exact calorie count. It will also track calories burned based on any exercise you've done and the lenght of time you did it for.

Just a thought, the biggest avdvantage I realized with logging what I ate was the fact I was conscious of what I was putting in my body. That really helped me to either choose a banana instead of a donut with my morning coffee...or just passing on something because I knew I was already 1,200 calories for the day and didn't want to waste any calories by eating something I wasn't even really hungry for etc...

Good luck!

255

One pound last week, but I got another notch on my belt, so maybe that "building muscle, losing fat" myth isn't a myth. :D

I've been hitting the soloflex every other day, and hopping on the treadmill 3 or 4 times a week, full incline, walking at 3mph for 20 to 30 minutes.

Still can't control my appetite. I flat out eat too much.
