Stickslinger
On october 14th my email account was highjacked and an email was sent out to everyone on my contact list. The email contained a link to some rapidshare files and a virus. Most of the anti-virus software picked up on the virus and wouldn't open the link. Anyone ever have this happen and how does it happen. I have McAfee installed on my computer. Rodney
DottyHuntress02
No, I'm sorry I know that doesn't help. But I'm sure it has happened a lot. Have you changed your email password since that happened? And probably notify your ISP (Internet Service Provider) if different than your email server? I wonder if you could also notify the FTC, also so they can track down where the emails came from after your email account was used for that bad deed? But the first thing I would do is change my password to one that would take too long to figure out by hackers.
