Ohiobucks
Shot a nice sized doe this morning, 15 yard shot with my Alphamax, she went about 60-70 yards. My sons Jacob and Branton helped take up the trail....
Tominator
Awesome stuff Tommy. Good pics of the boys on the trail. Is that the exit wound, cuz the opposite leg looks like it got busted?

Chris, you are worse than I am about inspecting entry/exit wounds. LOL Tom, great photos and congrats on the nice Doe.
Ohiobucks
Thanks gang. That is the exit shown, she was slightly quartering to me at 15 yards. The shot broke the left shoulder, took out the back of the heart and low lungs. Exited through the "armpit". Jerky is in the marinade right now, steaks are vacuum packed and froze.

Ohiobucks
What did you do with the heart? I'm sure the crows, possums, yotes, etc. ate well last night and this morning..... We keep them during shotgun season, but only because our buddy from Wisconsin takes them with him. I've tried it before, it's just not for me. The last three I sliced up and fried with butter and onions. I found out the key was to put it in a pan exposed in the fridge until it turns pinkish. Truly a treat.
