Stone Cold
Today was one of the best days in my life! My 9 year old daughter went out with me for the first time ever. She did really good in the stand. We got settled in and 30 minutes later a yote came up behind us at 25 yards. I wish I saw him coming in because I would of smoked it. After that we did not see anything but a few Pheasants flying around in the tall grass. Here are some pictures from tonights hunt!

Straight Shooter
That is great and a memory that will last a lifetime. I wish that I would have had a digital camera when I took my son on his first deer hunt. He was four years old and we killed two deer together that weekend. I've got a photo of him and our first deer, that is my most favorite photo andlots of great memories. Steve you will always remember this hunt with your daughter as it was such a special time. gowest
Looks like a great day to spend with your daughter. I used to take our daughter pheasant hunting, now she is in college and we miss her. Cherish these days - they go by all too quickly. Stone Cold
The only thing that I wish could of been different is if we saw some deer. I just think it was to warm yesterday for deer to come by. I tucked her in bed last night and she said "Thanks for taking me dad!" I told her "Thanks for going! You made me really proud!" She wants to go again but I think I will wait untill beginning of November and then take a blanket for her to use to cover up with to stay warm. We will just have to wait and see! Thanks for all the comments!

Stone Cold
Turkeygirl I noticed that too! Now that we are teamates on two teams we need to rock with our kills! Good luck to all of you and thanks for the comments. I got home from work last night and she asked if we were going again! LOL I think I started a good thing! Now will she be able to tough out the cold a little sitting in the stand not moving? We will have to see. I had to do house work so we did not go. There will be another day I told her.
