blackranny
Hey everybody - I just got notified that I was drawn to hunt the whitetails and sika deer (elk) over on Chincoteague NWR for a 2 day hunt in early December. I know nothing about the sika deer and am wondering if anyone out here has ever hunted them. I'd appreciate as much info on hunting them as possible. So, if you can help me I'd appreciate it! Thanks - and I'll post up after the hunt is over!
Grady269
Dude, those SIKA over on the shore are more like hunting aquatic swamp donkeys. You got a 4 foot tall deer that lives in 5 foot tall swamp grass. You need to make a friend over on the island get some good advice and take your hip boots. There is a good forum board Tidalfish.com, try in the Chesapeake Hunting forum, there are a lot of guys that hunt in that area that may be able to help you out.
