nate1582
Its early bow season here in ny and I'm lookin for some ways to bring the bucks in close. It is pre rut and baiting is illegal. I'm not shure if rattling will work being that the bucks around here don't really have to fight for does because there are tons of them. Does anyone have any tips. Grady269
Find the food, most deer are still in a feeding pattern, but that will be ending anytime now and the bucks will start cruising for does. Last 2 years the last week of October has been PRIME. Look for Acorns, Field Edges, staging areas along fields with Acorns are great this time of year. Deer like to feed in the woods near fields before going out in the open in the dark. Hope it helps
Tetro
Rattling might bring some of the younger bucks, plus try some calls. At least if the sounds are familiar to the deer it might spark their interest and get them curious.
