Guest deldeer
man is it me, or are they really starting to drag out the pre-race show????.....i almost feel like im watching a soap opera sometimes. don't get me wrong, i think they should talk about some of the top stories of the week-end, but to drag it out for over an hour??? i guess i just miss the way it was before it went mainstream..... o'well lets go racing!!!!! Chrud
Re: pre-race I could stand about a 10 minute pre-race show. It was a lot better at the Milwaukee Mile. Go up about an hour early, look at the track, the cars, see some IRL cars make laps, driver intros and it's time to go!

Guest deldeer
Re: pre-race hour early????????when we go to dover we have to get there about 6am just to get parked & not have to walk 2miles!!!
Guest IADEERDUDE
Re: pre-race yeah its gettin pretty long...me i would prefer a longer post race show than a long pre race that way they could talk to a few more drivers and get ther perspective on things instead of the top finishers

OJR
Re: pre-race It is way too long and what makes it longer is the wind bag called "DW"! I can't stand him! Sure am waiting for it to be cut over to NBC and get rid of him!

I would rather tune in and hear the National anthem...then "Gentlemen, Start your engines!" and get it started. They don't do enough post race interviews. OJR
Re: pre-race DW is so full of himself I wish he would bust like a balloon!! No bigger ego in all of NASCAR!!! Sickening!!
spyderpancake
Re: pre-race I think DW has the right to be a little bit proud, after all he has won 84 races and 3 Championships against some of the greats, including Earnhardt and Yarborough. He has a lot more room to talk than someone like Wally Dallenbach. I rather enjoy the pre-race interviews and "behind the scenes" stuff. I do wish they would take about 15-30 minutes of it and add that much post-race though.
Guest deldeer
Re: pre-race your right in that sense spyder, however....i remember when dw was racing, he was so out spoken, & anti-rule, always trying to buck the system, now he wants to be nascar's biggest spokesman, & supporter ?????....i think they call that a turncoat... RTF
Re: pre-race Leave DW alone. I sure as heck wont turn down an invite from the man if one was offered. Hey BTW at Wally world I saw his DVD.

mainebuck
Re: pre-race 30 minutes is enough pre-race. I love how they advertise that the race starts at say 1pm and that's when the pre-race starts. The green flag doesn't wave til like 2:15. Atleast be honest about it and say when the race actually starts.
MUDRUNNER
Re: pre-race DW doesn't bother me any,but the pre-race could be cut in half.I don't remember it being that long in years past.I could see having a longer pre-race for the 500,but the rest of the pre-races could be a lot shorter.I suppose they can get a few more commercials sqeezed in with an hour of pre-race. texastrophies
Re: pre-race Simple fix for this. Simply check online to find out what time the green flag drops and then tune in at that time. You don't have to watch the pre-race, I don't usually.
RTF
Re: pre-race The new pre-race is geared toward the new Nascar fan as the new Nascar fan is a world wide audience.
