ChrisSeb53
i dont know anything about this to be honest... i know bear has some stuff out in wal mart etc... but honestly... don't buy a bow because of what your friend thinks or the hype... like you said... you like the feel of the diamond and the pse... go with what feels good to YOU, not your friend... if those bows feel good to you then choose one of those... you will be more comfortable and shoot better because of it
SaskSniper
I know I used to think the same thing about Bear bows but I think they have stepped up their game in the last few years. A few weeks ago I shot a Bear Attack and can definitely say I was impressed. What I would suggest is go on the internet and check out reviews. I do this a lot before I buy anything. More importantly though I would say go to a local shop and shoot one. Like I said the Attack was nice and they just brought out their 2011 models and the Carnage looks pretty nice. I know from the reviews I read the Attack surprised a lot of people and they thought it was one of the better bows of 2010. Like ChrisSeb53 said, don't buy it because your buddy likes it. You gotta find something that fits you right and that you enjoy shooting. Dont want to have something that everytime you take it out you feel some regret. Many of us have different things we look for. Some guys love speed, other guys like a smooth draw and no vibration, etc. Although now a days most bows are doing this pretty good. So best of luck to ya!
redkneck
First of all, you should forget about your "not bashing" comments in your thread. There's absolutely not one negative thing in your post about brands, just concerns that you are raising, and you can do that all day long in here. Secondly, there's lots of guys in here that shoot Bear bows, including me, and I think I can say most of us would not hesitate to buy a new one in the future. Forget about everything except for what feels comfortable to shoot, and what is in your price range. Let the chips fall where they will as far as what brand it ends up being. matq2gs
The best thing you can do is go to a pro shop and shoot several different bows to see what feels right to you. The next thing is to look at the warranties on the bows. I worked in a pro shop part time and we carried several differebnt lines but some warranties don't cover as many things as others. Also at a pro shop you can get fitted to your draw length and set for the right poundage for you to hold comfortably. You can invest alot of money and you want it to be right after you get it. We would set them up and let you shoot them to see how well it felt and if you bought it we would oput all the acessories on and take you to the range to get everything sighted in. Good luck.
