Rhino
Pulled one of my cams the end of last week and found these 2 bucks had passed by inside the 40 yard line from my stand. My stand is in the group of trees clustered together behind the 1st bucks rack. He's probably close to 25 yards from my tree. This 10 point is just inside the 40 yard line. Just need the right wind now but doesn't look like I'll get it until maybe Sunday morning.
hoosierhunter
Rhino-I'm guessing you think that 10 isn't mature yet probably 3.5. He looks like a solid 140's class not knowing the spread there. He's got good 2-3's and 4's for that matter!
redkneck
That first one has got some great width! Good luck, at least it's daytime pics!
Rhino
Rhino-I'm guessing you think that 10 isn't mature yet probably 3.5. He looks like a solid 140's class not knowing the spread there. He's got good 2-3's and 4's for that matter! I really need to see him on the hoof to be sure Pat. Bad angles with him so close to the cam. As a rule of thumb our 4.5 yr old MS bucks have the body size of 3.5 yr old midwestern bucks. Average weight for our 3.5 year old bucks is ~150#. Weight's for our 4.5 year old bucks are ~ 170#. He may be 3.5 but if he is, his main beam length is way above average for our 3.5 yr old bucks, which is 17.5" to 18". This 5x5's main beams are over 20". If I get the chance to see him on the hoof and he is without a doubt to me a 3.5 year old buck with exceptional potential I'll pass him and risk he makes it through the season. I'll tell you this Pat, if I do pass him, I'm the only hunter in our club that would. That first one has got some great width! Good luck, at least it's daytime pics! Got one velvet pic of him with a Cudde back on Sept. 13th John and a profile pic of him right before that pic. Both those other pics though still leave me wondering how long his tines are. I'm guessing he's a 130 class buck based on what I have on him so far. Nice to know both moved during legal hunting hours. arrow32
Good looking bucks. Hope you get a chance at one of them.
wtnhunt
Tough to tell how tall that first one is there Al, but he is definitely nice and wide. That second one sure looks like a nice buck, would like to have the problem of trying to age him on the hoof. From that pic would guess he is a 4.5 year old MS deer, thinking body sizes on your deer there are comparable to here.

The profile pic right before that just blended into the grey due to the distance from the cam. very nice looking bucks man, North MS ??? Nope...sort of southwest about half way between Vicksburg & Natchez.
