Went this afternoon to beat on some doors. While driving around we saw well over 100 birds. They were in just about every field we drove by. We went back to a couple places that told us to come back. Out of 6 spots 2 said yes. The one's that said no were still very friendly and thanked us for asking(as most people don't from the way they talked) The one guy, who we knew lets a lot of guys hunt, told us yes but what we didn't know is he owns 6,000 acres. A lot of his property borders some other property we hunt so we decided to try and get permission to give us more walking room. Should be able to get away from people on that. The other person who told us yes said they let only a couple friends hunt, but they own almost 600 acres in close proximity to state land. So now we have our work cut out in scouting these new properties. Will probably head down in the next week or two when we have a warm spell and start walking over and scouting some of this new property. The guy who owns the 6,000 acres(very hunter friendly I might add, if not too friendly LOL) told us a couple places that don't get hit too hard so we'll spend most of our scouting there. Man I love getting new turkey spots, can never have enough. With them two new spots we have a total of 9 different properties to hunt. Man I can't wait to start scouting. The area we hunt is very hard to find a place that doesn't get hunted. Most of the farms we hunt on we share with a couple guys. It usually isn't an issue as we hunt a lot during the week. And 99% of the time if they say no it's due to family hunting. Sharing a farm is better than state land, that's how I look at it wink.gif
